Making the decision to have a swimming pool installed in your home is a big one, given the amount of work, time, and money involved. But it will be all well worth it once the construction is complete and you have our own private backyard oasis to retreat to with friends and family!

But once you’ve decided to have a pool built in your backyard, you might be wondering how long it will take to install from start to finish. To best answer that question, let’s take a look at what’s involved in the process, which will all contribute to the total amount of time needed to see your project through to fruition.

Digging and Excavating

It will take about a week or so to dig out all the dirt in your backyard to make room for what will soon become your swimming pool. This is after the time needed to get the necessary permits from your municipality to get permission to dg. While the digging portion could take a little less than a week, it will all depend on whether or not there are any issues met along the way.

Plumbing and Electrical

You’re going to want to be able to control the temperature of the water, add a pump to keep the water clean, and even install some lights in and around the pool. All of this will require electrical wiring and plumbing, which will take about a week or two to install.

Laying the Steel Frame

Another week or two will be required to lay the steel as the frame, which will provide your swimming pool with the sturdiness it needs for a strong and durable structure.

Pool Installation

Depending on the size and complexities of your pool, it could take anywhere from one to three weeks or more to install once the foundation is paid.

Landscaping and Hardscaping

Once your pool is installed, the surrounding deck, hardscaping features, and greenery will be added, which could take another week or four to complete. Again, this will depend on the intricacy and depth of the work involved.

Based on the steps listed above, it can take as little as one month to several months to complete your Austin swimming pool installation.
