As Austin pool builders we have found that water features can be the difference between a nice pool and an extraordinary pool.  There are many different types of water features that can be discussed with your swimming pool builder.  The prices for these features vary widely, depending on the size and complexity of the feature.  A small waterfall, for example, adds flair to a pool design, but is a fairly inexpensive option.  Logically, the more elaborate and breathtaking the feature is, the higher the corresponding cost.  A vanishing or negative edge pool, is one of the nicest water features available, it is becoming more and more popular, but due to the complexity of design and extra materials required for the catch basin, it is also going to be one of the more expensive.  If you want a water feature for the soothing sound of falling water, we would recommend the waterfall, especially if your yard slopes towards your home and can accentuate the landscape. However if you have a great view that slopes away from the home, and you want to enhance it, a vanishing edge would be recommended.  There are also more formal options such as water sheers, rain curtains, or deck laminars to inquire with your swimming pool builder about. Most people want some sort of water feature on their pool, and it is usually to enhance the beauty of the project as well as for the sound, and there is good news.  With a custom design, such as you get with Reliant Pools, you can get the water features you want to make your pool uniquely yours.  The designer will work with you and your budget  to get the most value dollar for dollar on water features.  The biggest advantage to water features is turning a plain pool into an extraordinary one, usually without adding an extraordinary amount to your overall investment.  We recommend consulting your swimming pool builder about which water features fit your budget, setting, and desired effect.
